Buy your breeding stock from a
reputable breeder. Try to buy youngsters between 8 and 14 weeks to let
them get used to their surroundings before you mate them at around 5
months old.
Wherever
possible see their parents so that you will have a good idea of the
size and weight your rabbits will achieve. Our adult New Zealand White
bucks reach about 4kg to 5kg. The Californians weigh slightly less.
Cross pairings give a very good quality meat rabbit.
